From 29 December 2024 to 4 January 2025, paddlers took on one of the toughest challenges in surf lifesaving – the George Bass Surfboat Marathon. Covering 190km of open ocean from Batemans Bay to Eden, it’s known as the longest and most gruelling surfboat race in the world. But this event is about more than just the race – it’s about endurance, teamwork, and the incredible spirit of the South Coast.

As a major sponsor, Stafford’s was proud to get behind this iconic event, which brings together surf clubs, athletes, and the local community. It’s the kind of challenge that takes guts, determination, and a whole lot of heart – the same values that drive everything we do at Stafford’s.

Day after day, crews battled the elements – powerful swells, strong winds, and unpredictable conditions – pushing themselves to the limit as they made their way down the coast. Every team that crossed the finish line achieved something remarkable.
