1. Competition Overview
The Stafford’s Concrete ‘Green Concrete’ Art Competition is open to students from Tathra Public School, Bega Valley Public School, Bega High School, and Lumen Christi Catholic College. The competition encourages young artists to create artwork that reflects sustainability, the environment, and the beauty of the Sapphire Coast.
2. Eligibility
The competition is open to students currently enrolled in one of the four participating schools.
Entries must be the original work of the student.
3. Competition Timeline
Competition opens: 14 March 2025.
Entry forms available: Tathra MultiSport Festival (14–16 March 2025) and Stafford’s Hardware Kalaru.
One winner from each school will receive a voucher valued at $100.
The overall winner’s school will receive $2,000 towards Indigenous education initiatives.
Winning artwork will be featured on Stafford’s Green Concrete Truck.
6. Judging Criteria
Originality and creativity.
Relevance to the theme of sustainability and the Sapphire Coast.
Visual impact and suitability for display on the concrete truck.
7. Use of Artwork and Photos
By entering the competition, participants grant Stafford’s Concrete permission to use their artwork and photos taken during the event for promotional purposes. This may include use on social media, the Stafford’s website, marketing materials, and the concrete truck.
8. Privacy and Permissions
Personal information collected will be used solely for administering the competition.
Parental/guardian consent is required for the use of any participant’s image.
9. Liability and Disclaimers
Stafford’s Concrete accepts no responsibility for lost or damaged artwork.
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
